How reviews work
Who can leave one
You can only review something with a link I've sent you, and I only send them to people who have bought or tested that product. Each link works once. There is no open review form, so nobody can review a thing they haven't used.
What gets published
Every genuine review goes up, whatever the rating. A one-star review stays up like a five-star one. I read each review before it appears, so it can take a few days.
I hold a review back only if it's abusive, isn't about the product, gives away someone's personal details, or is spam.
I never change what you wrote or the stars you gave. I can add a reply underneath, and it is marked as mine.
Labels
Beta testers got an early unit for free so they could find problems before launch. Writing a review was never a condition of getting one. Their reviews say Beta tester · early unit. Reviews from people who bought the product say Verified purchase, and if I gave someone the product, theirs says Gifted unit.
Nobody is paid
Nobody gets money, a discount or anything else in return for a review, good or bad.
The average
The rating at the top is the average of the published reviews, to one decimal place. If I ever leave a review out of the average, it stays up and is marked Not counted in the average.
Taking your review down
Email contact@ewanwills.co.uk and I'll remove it, along with the email address I hold for it. You don't need to give a reason. What I keep and for how long is in the privacy notice.
